Frequently Asked Questions
Whilst we try our best to answer everything on our packaging, there’s only so much room yet so many questions!
We are the real deal.
We grow our ingredients or source from local British suppliers, we make our own products, and package them all on site – sadly that is unique!
With us you know exactly what you are getting. We would never bring in ingredients from abroad or make our products abroad just because it is cheaper. We would rather make less money but provide our children, not only with the best possible nutrition, but with a sustainable future which doesn’t involve an unnecessary carbon footprint.

- Pick a spot where you would like some beautiful flowers (think where the bees would like it too!) Plants need soil, water and sunshine to thrive. If you don’t have a garden, a window box or a pot will work just fine too!
- The better the soil, the better the chance of flowers! Pull up any weeds first and if possible cultivate the soil. The seeds won’t work on lawns and will struggle if there is too much competition from other plants.
- Throw! One pack will cover an area of one square meter.
- Sprinkle some soil lightly over the top and water well, this will help the seeds sprout!
- Keep a close eye on them for the first few weeks and water if the soil gets too dry!
- Finally and most importantly send us a picture of your new garden and happy bees.
First of all, thanks! We have spent years getting the fruit shapes like they are, so it’s wonderful to have such great feedback!
It all starts with the ingredients…. Everything in our products is British farm grown, as much as possible from our own farm, because we know that’s the tastiest out there! We know exactly what we are putting in, as, like you, we want to know exactly what we are putting into our children. The Freddie’s Farm Factory is in the middle of our farm; delicious fresh fruit and vegetables go in and are inspected, washed and scrubbed clean. Then for the clever bit, Freddie’s Daddy has invented a special process where we make a kind of fruit and veg smoothie, and slowly dry out at a raw temperature. This allows us to keep the sugars down, and the fibre high. We don’t bake them, which takes out so many nutrients, and certainly don’t fry them!
When its dry we push it into fun shapes, pack it into easy to recycle packaging…and try and sell some before we eat it all ourselves!
Freddie is our little boy, our best helper and inspiration for our snacks. He loves his fruit and veg and helping us grow, pick and eat it, and we wanted to give other boys and girls a chance to taste them too. He’s currently 4, loves tractors, baking and gardening with mummy and steam trains.
Our fruit shapes are not gummy like other fruit snacks out there but are soft and very easily chewed (or gummed as the case may be!) Freddie’s baby sister has enjoyed them from a young age. Raisins are recommended from 7-9 months plus depending on your child, and our shapes are much softer. For this reason we believe they are suitable from 9 months plus, however every child’s weaning journey is totally different and you need to be guided by them. As with any new food for your child, start slowly, and of course never leave them unattended while eating.
Our family have grown fruit and vegetables for generations, the vast majority of the fruit and vegetables we use are unsprayed, however we cannot label as organic as there are other areas of the farm that may have minimal pesticide use in the past.
Yes, all our products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians as they only contain fruit and veg! We are also Kosher certified.
It certainly is, all of it. You don’t have to do anything clever, or post it back to us, just pop it in with your normal recycling!
Our products only contain fruit and veg so there should be no allergens such as dairy, gluten, soy, eggs, and nuts however we can’t make any cast-iron guarantees.
The sugars in the nutritional information are all purely natural sugars contained in our sun ripened fruits and vegetables. We all want to cut down the amount of sugar in our diets but sugars from fruits and vegetable help to provide energy to our young farmers to get all their important jobs done, it’s hard work after all. (sugarwise)
