Freddie’s FAQs
How are you different from all the other children’s snacks out there?
We are the real deal. We grow our ingredients or source from local British suppliers, we make our own products – sadly that is unique! With us you know exactly what you are getting. We would don’t bring in ingredients from abroad. We would rather make less money but provide our children, not only with the best possible nutrition, but with a sustainable future which doesn’t involve an unnecessary carbon footprint.
We have patented the process we use to make our snacks – unlike the big brands we never use concentrates or purees. We start with whole, fresh fruit and veg. We take our fresh produce and roughly grate and rather than baking like everyone else we slowly dehydrate. Before gently pressing them into our Bites and Bars, and finally we pack them into our 100% kerbside recyclable paper packaging.

Do your products contain any allergens?
Our snacks are made only from fruit and veg, and our own factory does not handle nuts or other common allergens such as dairy or gluten. We also have strong traceability systems in place.
However, we don’t hold official nut-free certification. On rare occasions we pack products for other companies, and while these do not contain nuts, some of their ingredients may have passed through sites that handle allergens. This means we cannot guarantee our snacks are 100% free from every trace.
