Freddie's Farm Snacks
We started Freddie’s Farm when Freddie was little.

Charlie, a farmer with a background in food production, knew exactly how most snacks were made – and what went into them. We didn’t like what we saw. So we began making our own, for our children, Freddie and Ottie, using whole fruit and veg picked from British farms.

Never concentrates or purées like the big brands.

We even patented our method – it keeps everything closer to how nature made it (and helps keep free sugars lower too). It’s what we wanted for our kids, and we’re proud to share it with yours.

At Freddie’s Farm, we believe we’re just custodians of the countryside — here to look after it for the bees, the birds, and the next generation. That’s why we proudly Back British Farming, using only British-grown fruit and veg, and why we’re so passionate about farming in a way that gives more than it takes.

We want our children to be proud of what we’ve built: a snack that’s good for them, good for the land, and wrapped in paper packaging that’s kinder to the planet.

And so to help inspire and educate the next generation we’ve created a series of audiostories…

GROWN UP NUTRITION AND OUR PATENTED METHOD

SO MANY BRANDS SPEAK TO US PARENTS LIKE WE’RE CHILDREN, TELLING US THERE ARE ‘NO NASTIES’ AND PLATITUDES LIKE ‘GOOD FOR TUMMIES.’ WE’RE HERE TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT OUR GROWN UP NUTRITION – IN BLACK AND WHITE – BECAUSE WE KNOW YOU CARE AND DESERVE ALL THE FACTS.

NOT ALL FRUIT SUGARS ARE THE SAME

We all know that sugar is bad, and we all know that fruit contains sugar, but not all fruit sugars are equal. There is a bond between the natural sugar and fibre in fruit and vegetables, so when you puree, make a concentrate or bake fruits and vegetables this bond is broken. This sugar without its bond is now known as free sugar.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN?

These sugars can be absorbed more readily by our bodies, which can lead to sugar highs and crashes. This conversion to free sugar happens when other brands make their concentrates and purees, and when baking these purees to make their ‘fruit’ snacks.

THIS IS HOW WE FIXED IT!

This is where we differ. Our use of FRESH fruit and veg combined with our patented process, helps to maintain this bond, so that the fruit sugars are absorbed more slowly. We’re the only snack that complies with Public Health England’s latest guidance on free sugars. So, you don’t get those sugar highs.
